Ainge Expects Doc and KG back

Alright, so the band is coming back together. Smart play here by Ainge, I think Ainge knows that there is no way he can be able to pull off another monster KG/ Ray Allen deal so the best thing is to bring the band back together and hope that with a little luck from the draft and free agency we can build a rotation that will compete, and if they don't compete then by the deadline you ship everyone. Simple as that.

Doc Rivers was going no where, everyone knows that, Stephan A Smith just decided to be a typical NBA analyst and just throw shit at a wall. It's obvious that this team is very passionate about winning and losing and Danny is right, after the season, give them their space and just let it be for now.

Since the C's are tight on the cap they are really limited to what they can do.

I Love Dan Snyders Take On The Redskins Team Name So Much

"We'll never change the name," Snyder told USA Today. "It's that simple. NEVER -- you can use caps."

I love it. Basically he said, "Hey, whatever guys, we have been racist this long, why the fuck would we stop now, all of you can go to hell" I'm not Native American so I honestly could care less if the Redskins keep their team name or not. I think it's kind of funny that a team has gotten away with it this long that, I definitely root for them to keep their name. From a uniform perspective, the mascot and logo really tie it together so I'm with Dan Snyder 100% on this.

People always say to me, "how would you like it if the Redskins were called the Washington Honkies or the Washington Blackies?" A couple things 1. I would absolutely love it if a team was called either of those things, imagine if the logo possibilities with those names, some fat white guy with a torn up wife beater drinking a beer watching NASCAR or just a picture of Charles Ramsey. 2. We all know by now that Indians were a made up thing.

Everyone should lay off the Redskins and just let them be the most popular team in Chocolate City (which nobody seems to have a problem calling D.C.)

David Ortiz Is Pissed At Shank

Dan Shaughnessy basically accused David Ortiz of taking steroids the other day and since then he lost his hit streak and went 0 fer yesterday. I hope your happy Dan, you ruined David Ortiz. He was having the greatest year of his career and you have to shit in the apple pie and accuse a Boston legend to steroids screwing up his whole mind. Who the fuck do you think you are. Just another dick move in the long life of Dan. Ortiz obviously isn't on steroids and all the other steroid shit is speculative at best. Much like KG and Pierce and their potential last run with the Celtics, we should be enjoying what Ortiz will and has done for the Red Sox over the next 2 years, he's the closest thing to infallible to me in Boston sports right now. He doesn't need your shit Dan, he just needs you to go and try to create headlines by saying obnoxious things about the Celtics or Patriots. Stay away from Papi you jerk.

Looking Good Otis

CANTON, Ga. (AP) — Former Major League outfielder Otis Nixon has been arrested on drug charges following a weekend traffic stop in suburban Atlanta.
Nixon was pulled over just after midnight Saturday after another driver called police to report a Dodge Ram truck weaving all over the road, according to an incident report from the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office. The 54-year-old remained in jail Monday afternoon on $11,880 bond.
Officers found a pipe for smoking crack cocaine in Nixon's pants pocket and found a suspected crack rock in the driver's seat, the report says. They later found another pipe and more suspected crack rocks in the floor board of the driver's side, as well as other paraphernalia.

How the mighty have fallen huh? But to be honest, didn't Otis always look like a crackhead?

I remember when Otis was on the Sox back in the day and a;ways liked him, but to be honest, always assumed he was a crackhead.

Why Not?

Why not watch this pitbull?

What Do The Celtics Do Now?

The NBA cap is really confusing and I don't get it. However, everything I have heard is that if KG and PP are gone, the Celtics are still at the 60 million dollar cap. So I'm basing this post off that being true.

So before all of you get emotional and say blow it up we need to think of what the smartest thing the Celtics to do and remaining competitive.

First and foremost, I want to keep KG and Pierce. It's true, both are old and cannot play the minutes and do what they did in the past. However, nobody is going to give us anything for either. We aren't going to get a young star back for either, I would imagine that the KG for DeAndre Jordan/ Eric Bledsoe deal is off the table. Also, KG has a no trade clause and has made it very clear that his and Pierce's future are tied together. If Pierce is gone, KG will most likely go, but both Pierce and KG have also made it known they would rather stay with the Celtics. So the Celtics should do just that, keep them. We aren't going to get any better without them.

Secondly, Rondo is coming back. Nobody is going to trade a lot for a guy coming off a knee injury so it's worth it just to hold onto him. Rondo is the best PG in the league and I think they everyone can admit now that the Celtics are a much better team with him than without him (as the captain pointed out nicely yesterday). I guarantee that if Rondo played against the Knicks we wouldn't have only beat them, we would have swept them. The Celtics offense became stagnant, you were asking Avery Bradley to play out of position which he obviously wasn't great at doing and was a giant part of why the Celtics lost. Rondo would not only make Pierce and KG's life a lot easier out there, but Bradley would be a lot more effective offensively with being able to have off the ball cuts, Jeff Green would be able to run more, and I bet even Courtney Lee wouldn't have been as awful if he was playing with Rondo.

So I know this makes for a boring offseason, but why not stand pat and hope that with the return of Rondo, hopefully Jeff Green stays into the player he was turning into, Bass builds off his great post season, Bradley will get better, Jared Sullinger comes back and is back to his garbageman game, Fab Melo turns into a rotation player and the Celtics can grab someone like Dgieng out of Louisville at 16 and hopefully that works out.

I would rather be a 6 or 7 seed then out of the playoffs and completely rebuilding any day.

Reason 5234 Why Hockey Fans Are Classless

So during last nights game some Psy looking douche bag held up a Toronto Stronger sign obviously making light of the tragic events that happened during the Boston Marathon. This is just another example how hockey fans are the most classless fans in all of sports, when they aren't calling black people the N word or throwing Bananas at black players they are making fun of terrorist attacks. Hockey fans are turning into the sport wide like Philly fans, just awful people, that do awful things.

I know that hockey fans like to relate themselves to rugged, blue collar people, but over the last couple of years they have been embarrassing themselves with this type of nonsense. I know this asshole isn't what ALL hockey fans are like, however, they haven't given me a ton to work with the past couple of years. I wonder what security would do if some Bruins fan went up and punched this fucker, would they allow it? Would they side with this douche? I don't know.

Either way, let's hope the Bruins can finish this up and Tuuka can lead them to the Cup.

6 Sox, 5 Twins

Stephen Drew saved the day last night where he hit an RBI double in the bottom of the 11th to cap off his best day as a Red Sox, by going 4-5 with 3 RBIs.

Joel Hanrahan had his chance to win his job back and to win the game, except he gave up a HR to Brian Dozier. And if that wasn't awesome enough, he seemed to tweak his elbow and not even finish the inning. Thankfully Clayton Mortensen came through huge, picking up where Hanrahan left off and went 2 1/3 innings of shutout ball. Looks like with Bailey on the DL and Hanrahan blowing, my prediction of Tazawa becoming the closer. Which he should, he's our best reliever.

Clay had his worst outing of the year, four runs over six innings. He did get nine strikeouts though and his ERA is still a ridiculous 1.60 on the year.

Victorino hit his first home run, and Napoli had an RBI and Ortiz extended his hitting streak to 26.

Why Not?

Pretty sure Jordan Crawford just told Melo, "That's why he fucked your wife"

Geno Smith Is Perfect For The Jets

I am kind of flipping my opinion on Geno Smith by the day. 1st he fires his agent the day after the draft because he didn't go number 1, and then I find out that he was texting and tweeting while meeting with teams pre draft.

How can somebody who has proven nothing in the NFL be so Divaish before taking an NFL snap. This makes sense though for him dropping and why E.J. Manuel was the first QB taken in the draft.

I want to like Geno, but if he keeps up all this shit he is in for a big shock in the NFL, but then again, he's going to the Jets where they gravitate to shitheads. I really hope that this isn't a trend, because the Jets may have made a giant mistake by drafting another headache.

10 Sox, 1 Houston

Clay Buchholz is the Red Sox ace this year. I have had a lot of questions about him during his whole career, but this year, he's been phenomenal. Buchholz finished the night throwing seven innings and allowing two hits, three walks, eight punch-outs, and no earned runs.

Then on top of that, the bats woke up. Stephen Drew, Daniel Nava, Mike Carp, and Mike Napoli (twice) all went yard.

I can't believe how shitty the Toronto Blue Jay fans are. That was a pathetic showing last night. I thought going into the season that they would be a great team, and obviously it hasn't worked out that way, but the lack of fan support is outrageous. Were there even 2,000 people there last night?

92 Celtics, 86 Knicks

The Knicks are going to lose this series because of stupidity.

Last night the Knicks proclaimed they were wearing all black to their game, because it was going to be a funeral for the Celtics said Kenyon Martin. However, the Knicks were the ones that ended up looking foolish and giving the Celtics extra motivation for this game. The question is, who are the Knicks? What have any of these guys done? The biggest game Carmelo Anthony has played was the National Championship game at Syracuse and as for J.R. Smith his probably was in China during the lock out. The Knicks haven't won a playoff series in 13 years, and hopefully it stays that way.

Kenyon Martin finished with 2 points, 2 rebounds and 5 fouls, and JR Smtih was 3-14.

Jeff Green had an incredible 4th quarter. He had ten of his team high 18 points came in the final 12 minutes. His back-to-back threes inside three minutes were huge to hold off the Knicks. And that old man KG had a game for himself, 16 points, 18 rebounds and 5 assists. His 20-footer with 48 seconds remaining was the dagger. Paul Pierce didn't have the best shooting night, however, his 10 point 3rd quarter was great. And Jason Terry played phenomenal on defense? and offense with 17 points. But the MVP for the Celtics has to be Brandon Bass, he provided scoring with 17 points, but he played incredible defense on Melo. Melo started off hot by hitting 5-7 but finished the game shooting 3-17.

The biggest and continuous issue is Avery Bradley, as Raymond Felton has killed him all series. You know it's bad when Doc has to bring in Jason Terry as a defensive replacement for him.

And of course another vintage KG interview:

Justin Blackmon Doing Bad Shit Again

The league suspended Blackmon on Tuesday for the first four games of the 2013 season for his second violation in less than a year. He will not get paid for the four-week hiatus. Maybe more importantly, the suspension triggers language in his contract that voids future guarantees.

Now, the Jaguars could cut him without having to pay about $10 million that remains on a four-year, $18.5 million contract.

This is the 2nd substance abuse issue since Blackmon has joined the NFL and 3rd in 3 years.

Listen, I like Blackmon a lot, I think he is going to be great, he just can't be a shithead. I don't blame him though, he looks and stills sees Blane Gabbart as his quarterback and still plays for the jaguars, so if my friends were getting stoned, hell yea, I would partake in the festivities. It may take a couple years, but Blackmon will be the new Dez Bryant. A great talent, but just has a 2 cent head.

It's not like this will hurt the Jaguars because even with Blackmon they will probably still be 0-4, but look for him to have a better year than he did last year.

9 Toronto, 7 Red Sox

A couple weeks ago, Bob wrote in a rant piece "I told you Lester was good", well after last night I'm starting to wonder if our "ace" is turning back into the Jon Lester of the past 2 years. In his previous start Jon Lester walked 6, in this start Lester walked only 2, but gave up 6 runs. He needs to be a lot more consistent if the Red Sox want to make the playoffs.

But with Lester sucking, the Sox did have a chance to win the game as they tied the game up and even took the lead at the top of the 7th. But then the bottom of the 7th happened, Junichi Tazawa surrendered a two-run homer to Encarnacion. Then Joel Hanrahan came on for the bottom of the 8th and gave up a run of his own. I guess that puts any discussion to bed on who are closer will be.

This loss, sucks. But hopefully the Sox can shake it off.

P.S. How good is David Ortiz, he's like reincarnation of Barry Bonds, it's ridiculous.

More On Jason Collins Being Gay

Bob only touched upon this subject yesterday, but Jason Collins coming out of the closet because he caught the gay is really not news too me. You ever look at this guy, totally gay. Sure you are going to have a couple of assholes like Mike Wallace or religious nutjob and total fraud Chris Broussard saying homophobic things, but is this really news anymore. In fact I would be money that he has some endorsement deal or something. He is already being asked to be the head of gay pride parades and shit. What he did I guess can be considered brave, but being gay to me isn't a big deal and anyone who is against being gay simply hates gay people. Jason Collins will be looked at as a hero, as the Jackie Robinson of gays, but there was a huge difference between the 2. I will bet that we will see the dominoes fall now with gay athletes now that one did it first. Here are my guesses who comes out:

1. Manti Te'o
2. Nnamdi Asumghua (sp)
3. Jackie Bradley Jr.
4. David Price
5. Calvin Johnson

Te'o because he actually is gay. Asumghua because he's a weird dude and used to eat his lunch in his car and shit. Jacie Bradley Jr. Because he kind of seems too nice and kind of gay. Price because he gives me that vibe and Calvin Johnson because it would be great if a giant man like that was gay. Also, I haven't heard him talk, adds mystery.

Why Not?

Road Rage much?

6 Sox, 1 Astros

If John Lackey pitches like that every game I will be ecstatic. He went 6 innings let up 1 run and struck out 4. I will take that any day. If he can stay like this , the Red Sox are a sure bet to be the best team in the AL East.

Also, that David Ortiz contract doesn't seem to bad now? All those people who were belly aching about giving Papi a 2 year deal can shut up, because the guy is flat out good. He has 11 RBIs in what seems like a couple games.

I can't say this enough, I love this team and love what John Farrell has done so far. He has been such a good coach over what we saw over the past few years, that it really gives you hope that they will be able to win in the playoffs.

Draft Winners/ Losers

Winners:
St. Louis Rams: I absolutely love what the St. Louis Rams did this year. Tavon Austin is going to win the offensive rookie of the year. Brian Quick, Jared Cook, Chris Givens and Lance Kendricks is the wide receiving corps right now, so to add such a dynamic player is huge for Sam Bradford. Also, Stedman Bailey who was Austin's battery mate at WV is pretty good as well. I love that they stole Ogletree and Barrett Jones in the 4th round. I think that the Rams may have had the best draft this year.

San Francisco 49ers: Eric Reid is going to be a starter this year. He is the best safety in this draft and will be an impact player. Tank Carradine falling to them in the 2nd is absurd. This guy has 1st round talent and just adds to a ridiculous SF defense. I really like the Marcus Lattimore pick. If Lattimore didn't have 2 gruesome injuries he would be taken in the first round, however, the 49ers are the perfect location for them. He gets to basically sit out this year and be Frank Gore's successor going forward.

Pittsburgh Steelers: Jarvis Jones and the Steelers are a match made in heaven. He is an outside pass rusher that was the most productive college player the past 2 years. The Steelers needed a RB and got Bob's boy from Michigan State Le'Veon Bell in the 2nd and picked him over Eddie Lacy. I like Lacy better, but Bell has more of a pass catching ability. Marcus Wheaton out of Oregon State was an absolute steal in the 3rd round. With the Steelers track record of mid round WR success, they found another gem here. I also love the Landry jones pick. I have had enough of the Charlie Batch, Byron Leftwhich era as Ben's back up. Now they have someone who can be the equivilant to the Patriots Ryan Mallett.

NY Jets: I really like what the Jets did. Dee Milliner should fit right in the Revis slot and will be very impactful. Sheldon Richardson will be a force, but to be honest, they should have take Eifert there, but whatever, Richardson will be pretty good for that D Line as well. Getting Geno Smith that late is a steal and if the Jets were smart, they would cut Tebow and Sanchez and say David Garrard is our QB this year and Geno Smith will take over next. gets rid of all the drama and shows a plan. Enough of the ridiculousness of the Jets QB situation. They also picked up 2 pretty good guards.

Losers:
Dallas Cowboys: I was not a fan of the Frederick pick to start with when I thought there was a lot more talent there, but whatever. They seemed a little all over the place, I didn't really see the need of drafting a TE and WR in the 2nd and 3rd rounds. I just don't get the Cowboys picks at all.

NE Patriots: People say, this was a very Patriots draft, however, I think it was just a real dumb draft. I really like the move they made with the Vikings, then hated what they did with everything. I also love how the radio and Boston media is trying to protect the Patriots and their shitty draft by saying, "nobody really knows", well yes, you do. Jamie Collins was productive for a really bad team, so maybe he can work his way in the rotation. But Dobson is a project, Logan Ryan will be lucky to be a nickle back, Harmon will be a special teamer at best and the rest of the guys blow. The Patriots decided to just draft depth, when there was much better talent on the board. Once again the Patriots out think themselves at the draft, which is weird after such a great draft last year.

Chicago Bears: The only reason I hate this draft is they had a chance to get Tyler Eifert and chose Kyle Long instead. that forever will be a head scratcher to me. Just dumb.
