So Is Rose Just A Huge Pussy?

The Bulls roster is a mess. They are all banged up, but yet here they are going against the Heat and maybe the healthiest person on the roster is Rose and he refuses to play. You never like to call a guy out when he is hurt, but when is this going to become too much. It's been over a month now that he has been cleared to play. Reports say he looks amazing in practice, and yet he still in wearing a suit on the bench.

Rose has a serious image problem going right now. We see guys like AP come back and less time and tear it up. We know Rondo would be out there if he was even 70%, and Rose is supposed to be one of the best players in the league, and he isn't out there.

Like I said, you hate to call a guy out when he is hurt. We don't know how he feels or what he is going through his head, but it would be tough to be a teammate of his, see him practicing and playing well, and not think "Why the fuck isn't he playing, when I am out there". Noah is playing on one leg, Where ya at Rose?

Rose Needs To Be Smarter

"I really don't know," he said. "I'm feeling good, but like I said, if it's where it's taking me a long time and I'm still not feeling right, I don't mind missing this year."

I get that this is probably how the Bulls are talking behind closed doors. They are looking at the long term ramifications, and maybe it is best if he sits out, but no fan wants to hear that. No fan wants to hear that you are healthy enough to play, but you aren't going to even with a playoff caliber team. "I don't mind missing the year" has to be one of the worst statements I have ever heard from a star player. Could you imagine if LeBron said that? Or Kobe? People would eat them alive.

Like I said, I get what he is saying, but you got to be able to play the PR game and this statement is just foolish.

71 Celtics, 69 Bulls

Well, this game wasn't very exciting. The Celtics showed the determination at the end to win this game, but for a lot of it, it was UGLY.

They somehow pulled this one off due to a really strong finish in the 4th quarter when the C's shot 68% (11-16 FG). Kevin Garnett scored 8 of his 12 points, including a huge jumper with 20 seconds remaining. Bass had one of the more impressive games of the early season by scoring 14 points and pulling down 9 rebounds in 40 minutes.

The officials also need to be mentioned as well, they were horrendous down the stretch. They missed a Pierce mugging with 40 something seconds on the clock, called a BS foul on Avery Bradley with 6 seconds left on Nate Robinson and then missed Pierce getting mugged again in the final seconds.

A win is a win and I sure as hell will take it going into the All Star break.

Bulls @ Celtics Preview

Rondo and Sully went down for the season, and the Celtics rallied. Now they will have to find a way to do it again, as Barbosa has been lost for the season and they are coming off a loss to the worst team in the NBA (Bobcats).

The Bulls have been dealing with a ton of injuries of their own (not including Rose). Every player from their starting lineup has missed some kind of time over the last 3 weeks.

I have to admit I am very nervous about this game. The Bulls can have a very good low post game when everyone is healthy, and Deng has given Pierce problems in the past. Saying that, I just can't count out a Doc Rivers team that has their backs against the wall. It is going to take a huge effort (like the one against the Nuggets), but the Celtics are a very good home team (19-9), and I think they figure out a way to get it done.

This is the last meeting between these two teams this year (obviously not including playoffs).

Celtics win 95-91

Boozer To Raptors?

The Chicago Bulls and Toronto Raptors have engaged in exploratory trade discussions on a deal that would swap the Bulls' Carlos Boozer for the Raptors' Andrea Bargnani, according to sources familiar with the discussions (ESPN).
I don't think I would do this if I was the Bulls. Boozer might not be great, but he is good down low, and I don't think a soft European is what the Bulls need. I have seen Boozer crush the Celtics down low, yes it was during a time when seemingly every big man was, but I just have a lot more faith in him.
