The NCAA Finals

Michigan vs Louisville

I am so happy that Cuse is out. I can't stand them, I can't stand Boeheim, I can't stand MCW, I can't stand the protection ESPN gives them. I am also happy that Wichita State lost too. I couldn't stand when Butler was in it and I want to see 2 really good teams play.

Michigan has so many awesome people on their team and so many awesome relatives while Louisville and Russ Smith are the best team in the country.

I'm going to root for Michigan for the championship because of the Fab 5 and that's it.

Auburn Could Be In Big Trouble

Auburn's football program changed players' grades to secure eligibility, offered money to potential NFL draft picks so they would return for their senior seasons, and violated NCAA recruiting rules under former coach Gene Chizik, according to a report by former New York Times and Sports Illustrated writer Selena Roberts.

Apparently Micheal Dyer and former WR Davon Adams (I'm sure we will hear more names coming out) got paid or were offered payment if they returned to school. If you have been reading this blog for a while you know that I am strong advocate of college players getting paid a stipend for their services at their respective colleges. I also enjoy dirty programs as well.

But raise your hand if you don't expect every southern power house school to do something against the NCAA regulations? Isn't it obvious and just expected that these schools do something shady to continuously get top recruits.

The interesting thing will be if Cam Newton was part of this. I know the NCAA had a giant investigation involving him, so he will be clean, but if anyone from that team wasn't that 2010 National Championship banner will definitely be removed.

The U in Trouble

CORAL GABLES, Fla. -- Miami finally received its notice of allegations from the NCAA, which accused the school of having a "lack of institutional control" for not monitoring the conduct of a booster who provided thousands of dollars in cash, gifts and other items to football and men's basketball players. ESPN

The U is fucked. They are definitely going to be in big trouble about this because no shit they lost institutional control, Nevin Shapiro was paying anything and everything to recruits to get them to play for Miami.

The Best thing for The U, was the Penn State scandal, because anything compared to that seems like nothing. They will not receive the death penalty, and most likely they will lost less scholarships and everything going forward, which is a shame.

But I have to say, if you run a program like this, you will eventually get burned.

Nevin Shapiro is serving a 20 year deal for his 938 million dollar fraud scheme, and with that money a bunch of it went to the University of Miami football and Basketball team.

Where Would I Go To If I Was A 5 Star Athlete

I was thinking about where I would go, if I was being recruited by every school like some of these kids. Here are my top 5.

5# UCLA
Why?
It reminds me of the movie Blue Chips, it's in LA and the chicks are plentiful. It's warm, it's fun and seems like it would be awesome. Sure the athletics have taken a back step in recent years, and maybe Basketball gets noticed more than the football program. I just feel that you could have an awesome college experience there if you were a stand out.

4# Michigan
My only northern school I would consider. Sure it's cold as fuck, but the name still has credibility. I hate most Big 10 schools so I would love the opportunity to beat those flamingos from Ohio State or smug dickbags from Lansing. Michigan has a proud tradition and greats like Tyrone Wheatley and Tim Biakabutuka went there (Yes, whatever, probably more famous players). I feel that you would be an absolute God if you led the team to a national championship, hell Denard Robinson and Chad henne weren't even that great and you know they got absurd ass.

3# Florida State
I know Tallahassee sucks, but the tits that get shown during every home game is absurd. Florida State has a long list of awesome players from Deion to Charlie Ward to Peter Warrick, that's a group I want to be mentioned with. Also, Jenn Sterger went there and I just had it embedded in my mind that every chick walks around with Daisy Dukes and cut shirts and a cowboy hat.

2# USC

I know USC would probably be number 1 on everyone's list, what isn't to like about it, warm weather, model chicks, celebrity lifestyle etc. Fuck, Matt Lienart threw away his NFL Career because he liked going to USC so much. USC is still a power house and will continue to get a ton of prospects every year. So you know you will be at least talked about and on the fast track to the NFL as an overrated prospect.

And my number 1 school is of course.....

The U

I know it may be humid, I know Miami isn't the safest place, however....... IT'S ALL ABOUT THE U.

Want to be the god of a corrupt city and bang hot cuban chicks all day while getting paid not to go to class? Go to the U. It's the ultimate school for people who could care less about academic achievements and more about making a rap song about how you ran a train with the 2 Live Crew on some chicks. I went to the campus a couple years ago and it was amazing, hot tubs everywhere, hot chicks everywhere, iguanas running around. Just an amazing school with an awesome tradition. Plus you have a bad day, go to South Beach to take a nap.

And this shit still happens with recruits there:

Signing Day Feature: Ricky Seals-Jones

WR Texas A&M

It was actually real close who my new favorite college football player was going to be, it was between him and Damore'ea Stringfellow WR from Wachington.

Bob and I used to do this thing when it was signing day we would pick a prospect outside of the top 50 and hitch our wagons to him. I think I only did it for 3 years with E.J. Manuel, DeAndre Brown (Ugh) and Rueben Randle, Bob only did it once with DeAnthony Thomas (Who?).

Anyways back to Ricky, his scouting report says:

Seals-Jones is a mammoth prospect and has great size/speed combination along with excellent overall athleticism. He has very intriguing measurables with plenty of room to grow. Sees a lot of time as a QB and is a scary run threat from the backfield. He has the quickness to get off the line, but can rely on finesse at times and not be physical enough on the outside. He should dominate against press but plays high and exposes his chest. He needs to develop a physical presence on releases to match his natural quickness and measurables. He adjusts his body well running routes against faster, smaller DBs and is a mismatch in the red zone. He does a nice job in jump ball situations on offense and you do see him cradle the high ball at times gaining position and timing jumps. He can pluck the ball at the high point and on the move with the focus and strength to haul in passes thrown outside of his frame. Has good ball skills and attacks the ball in a crowd. Has the tools to stretch the inside of the defense on deep vertical routes and could become a very competent player at all three levels of the passing game. As a route runner, Seals-Jones plays high and it affects his ability to transition in and out of cuts on shorter routes. He has suddenness for his size and a wide wingspan to create separation on short routes. His speed will give him a mismatch inside, especially as a vertical threat. A smooth runner after the catch, he is at his best when he gets going north/south. He is a galloper who is a load in the open field. Seals-Jones has a good stop/start for his size, but at times runs too high to break tackles. Shows surprising elusiveness and explosiveness for a player of his size. Primarily aligning as an outside receiver, Seals-Jones has also played as a Wildcat QB and designated runner and will surprise you in this role. He must develop a mentality as a blocker and plays high and lacks physical play at times, however. This is a player with terrific natural tools who is still learning the little nuances of the game. He would be able to line up at multiple spots and create mismatches within a game plan. He possesses a great frame and athletic ability to progress into a flex H/WR prospect, if not a true tight end at some point if he continues to grow and mature. Seals-Jones has a huge ceiling for development. He is a playmaker who will only get better and is an excellent prospect.

So that's what ESPN had to say about him after reading that and looking at a number of pictures of him. I noticed he has 3 names, is 6-5, used to play QB and now shifting to WR, he looks extremely mean, and he will play (if not red shirted) with Johnny Football for another 2 years, so if he proves himself he will be a pass catching threat for sure. Not only will RSJ be the top WR in college football in a couple few years, but I would put my money on him being in the Heisman discussion and ultimately being a top pick in the NFL. There is nothing not to like about this kid, big, strong, fast and will be a perfect WR in the SEC that outside a coouple schools has became more explosive offensively with the addition of Texas A&M and Mizzou.

So Ricky, don't let me down, we have greatness to catch.
