Red Sox Minor Leaguer Arrested For DUI
"Red Sox minor league pitcher Drake Britton was arrested on a DUI charge following an incident in Estero, Fla., early Saturday morning, according to the Lee County Sheriff’s office (WEEI)."
So I guess he was going 111 MPH in a 45 MPH zone, was swerving in between cars, lost control (shocking when going 111 MPH) and knocked over a barbed wire fence. The good news here is that he didn't hurt himself or anyone else. He will most likely be suspended by the Red Sox for awhile, and have to go to some AA meetings or something. I doubt legally there will be much fallout other than he won't be driving for awhile, and probably a sizable fine.
This isn't the first Red Sox minor leaguer this year do something stupid. If you can remember Brentz shot himself in the leg while cleaning his gun. So, yea... Things are going well.
