Indians Sign Michael Bourn.... wait, what?

The club agreed to terms Monday with outfielder Michael Bourn on a four-year, $48 million contract. It's the second major deal this winter for the Indians, who signed free agent Nick Swisher to a four-year, $56 million contract in January. ESPN

The Indians may be the only team that has been a little bit more reckless than the Red Sox with signing 3rd tier players for a lot of money. The Indians did acquire trever Bauer earlier, so this whole offseason isn't a loss, but with Drew Stubbs and Michael Brantley already on the squad was this signing needed? I don't think so.

Bourn batted .274 with nine homers, 57 RBIs and 42 steals last season for the Braves which is fine, but I don't see this being all to great in Cleveland. Maybe they know something I don't know, but I just find this to be a really odd signing.
