94 Bobcats, 91 Celtics

Another day, another devastating injury from a Celtics players, this weeks special is on Leandro Barbosa who is feared to be done for the year with an apparent knee injury, and KG kind of confirmed our worries:
"We got the news when we came in the locker room," Garnett said. "It’s tough all the way around. You mesh with these guys and all of a sudden you see a season-ending injury. It’s tough. We’re grinding right now on top of a back-to-back emotional game.

"The blow of Barbosa is kind of the fog or the cloud that’s in the room right now."

When asked if he was told Barbosa’s season was over, Garnett said, "Pretty much."

Ouch. Who would have thought that a team starting off with Rondo, Terry, Lee, Bradley, and Barbosa would be in trouble with depth. Last night it was apparent that we ran out of energy and our 2 energy guys, Rondo and Barbosa weren't there.

They looked tired, on the last 3 trips offensively they had good looks at the basket and just couldn't will it in. The loss sucks because of how well they were playing however, it's how they respond to this loss without Rondo which is more important to me. The Celtics were running on E to start the game and just fizzled in the 4th and for a jump shooting team, that is a bad thing.

I kind of wish that Doc did the Greg Pop thing and sat Pierce and KG this game, there was already a good chance that we would lose this game with triple overtime game the night before, I would have loved to see Jeff Green and Chris Wilcox get the nod so the old guys can rest.

Also, back to Jeff Green, can we start running plays for him? I don't get why he can't put up 18 shots a game? He is good enough, young enough, is a match up nightmare due to his athleticism, why not.

A loss is a loss, we got the Bulls on Wednesday.
