Dice K Going To Cleveland

Japanese right-hander Daisuke Matsuzaka has agreed to a minor league contract with Cleveland. It's a $1.5 million, one-year contract if added to the 40-man roster and would be able to earn $2.5 million in performance bonuses based on innings and starts.

I don't understand why people question Dice K so much he was a good pitcher, just the Red Sox training staff screwed him up. And for the surly and sour people out there who still dislike Dice K, please don't wear any 2007 Red Sox World Series hats or t-shirts. You wouldn't have those without Dice K.

I am just kidding I am not a crazy person like the Captain.

I get why people don't like Dice K, he was infuriating to watch, consistently injured and people hate the fact they gave 50 million dollars to talk contract negotiation. However, I do think the Red Sox training staffs screwed up the way he trains and everything. They didn't handle him correctly at all. Dice-K went 33-15 with a 3.72 ERA in 61 starts for Boston in 2007-08. However, he has been limited to 18 starts and 83 innings the last two seasons after right elbow surgery in 2011.

Justin Masterson, Ubaldo Jimenez and Brett Myers are the only pitchers that guaranteed spots in the rotation, so if Dice pitches well he could easily slot in there. I'm rooting for him, it just sucks Francona is coaching him.
