Matt Flynn Traded To Raiders

The Oakland Raiders have an agreement in principle to acquire quarterback Matt Flynn from the Seattle Seahawks for two draft picks -- one in the 2014 draft and a conditional pick in 2015, according to league sources.

This is going on because Palmer wouldn't take a pay cut, an now is rumored to being dealt to Arizona for very little. I liked Flynn when he was with the Packers,  and in the right situation I think he could be pretty good. Problem is I don't think the Raiders are that system, and I think they are way better off with someone like Geno Smith. Maybe they will still draft him.

For the Seahawks it makes all the sense in the world. Russell is obviously their QB, and they could use the picks after getting Harvin.

Raiders To Cut Carson Palmer?

"As noted Monday, it's possible that we may have seen the last of Carson Palmer in an Oakland Raiders uniform, as it's "highly unlikely" that the QB will take a pay cut, according to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter. The Raiders now have three options: hang on to Palmer and pay him his $13 million for 2013, trade him or release him (ESPN)."

Carson Palmer blows, and the Raiders are no where close to being a good team. They should cut him and draft Geno Smith. Do we know Smith will be a great QB? No, but he has a ton more upside than Palmer and that's really all that matter right now.

If Palmer does get cut there are rumors the Cardinals would jump at the chance to sign him. I think Palmer is a bum, and I would never trust any USC QB with my team.
