Red Sox @ Blue Jays Preview

Blue Jays remind me of the Red Sox over the past couple of years. They have a bunch of talent, but can't come together as a team. The Red Sox are the opposite right now, people wondered if they had enough talent, and now they have the best record in the MLB.

Boston is currently 18-7 and have won 5 in a row, while the Blue Jays are 9-17 and have lost 4 straight. Tonight we get Lester vs Morrow. Lester has had a great start to the season, as he is 4-0 with a 2.27 ERA. One of the main reasons for that, is that Lester has been able to not walk batters. That didn't happen last time out as he walked 6 guys. Hopefully that is just an aberration, and not the start of a trend.

Morrow has all the talent in the world, but usually can't stay on the field. This year he has, but he hasn't been as good as people (myself) thought he would be. He is 0-2 with a 5.27 ERA, and has been terrible against the Red Sox in his carrer (1-3 with an 8.28 ERA).

We have to stop for a second and give Ortiz some credit.Ortiz has gone 16 for 31 with two homers, five doubles and 11 RBIs in eight games since coming off the disabled list. The Blue Jays have the worst ERA in baseball, so hopefully Ortiz will stay hot.
