Johan Santana's Career Could Be Over

"Two-time Cy Young Award winner Johan Santana has suffered a probable re-tear of the anterior capsule in his left shoulder and a repeat surgery is a "strong possibility," New York Mets general manager Sandy Alderson said Thursday (ESPN)."

If he needs surgery he is done for the year, and it would be his second major surgery on that arm. If that's the case he is 34 years old and I just don't see him being able to work his way back. It's sad, at one point Santana was one of the best pitchers in the league, but he just can't stay healthy, and it may be time to shoot this injured horse.
