Celtics 83 Pacers 81
Ok, so I wasn't right about Paul Pierce going off, but I really feel that this game could have a lasting effect on the Celtics. The Celtics came back from 14 down against the 2nd best team in the East, and got the game winner from Jeff Green, who is someone who is going to have to be real good if the Celtics are going to be dangerous in the playoffs.
Kevin Garnett found Green all alone under the basket for a layup with 0.5 seconds remaining to cap off an amazing comeback. We need to sit back and give a lot of people credit for that play. Great drawn up play by Doc, who in my opinion is a top 2 coach in the NBA, great pass by KG, and nice job by Green being in the right place.
KG was awesome in this game. He scored 18 points (7-10 shooting) and ripped down 10 rebs. Terry had 8 of his 10 points in the 4th quarter. The story was obviously the defense. What I liked about this game the most through is that the Celtics came out and were only shooting 34% in the opening 12 minutes, but they kept running their offense and they just never gave in. So many other teams would've caved when down 14 on the road against a team like the Pacers (right Melo?), but the Celtics just never give in.
Oh by the way this is our 17,000th post.
