Suspended former New Orleans Saints defensive coordinator Gregg Williams has already met with the Tennessee Titans and is on the verge of becoming the Titans' assistant head coach, according to league sources.
Wait, how? I thought Williams was going to be banned forever, not just a year. So why and how is he allowed to talk to teams even about a contract. Sean Payton wasn't even allowed to talk to anyone involved with the NFL, why is he allowed to discuss a contract with the Titans about an assistant head coach job?
If anything he should be suspended a lot longer than Payton. If it happens, it would be a good hire, Gregg Williams is a great defensive mind (bounty or not) and the Titans need some type of leadership at top and if this goes through I'm for it.
