Kevin Garnett to Miss Two Weeks With Ankle Inflammation

So, Kevin Garnett is out for an estimated two weeks with ankle inflammation. This doesn't really matter as long as the Celtics make the playoffs. If they're still on pace for a playoff spot in two weeks, I wouldn't be surprised if they kept him out longer. No reason to rush him back and risk re-injuring his ankle over some relatively meaningless regular season games. This might just be an excuse to rest Garnett before the playoffs and blaming it on a vague injury keeps the NBA/Fans from complaining that he's not playing when he could be. An eight seed might be good. Throw everything you have at Miami. If you beat them you essentially take the path of a 1 seed because there's no reseeding done in the NBA Playoffs between rounds and I really doubt Miami is going to be knocked off by anybody else in the Eastern Conference. If they can't beat Miami I'd rather it be quick and painless at the beginning of the playoffs instead of in the Conference Finals where my expectations have been raised by beating some mediocre teams in the East. Again, this is another piece that fits nicely into my Crackpot Celtics Theory.
