I Like Adrian Wilson

With all my whining about Ed Reed/Wes Welker/Danny Woodhead heading elsewhere and my general disappointment with this free agency period I think it sort of got lost in the shuffle that I DO like Adrian Wilson. I like his credentials, I like his price tag, I like his style of play and I'm starting to like his attitude. He gave an interview with the Boston media recently where he made it very clear that his first preference was New England because he wants to compete for a championship. It's always nice to hear that a recently acquired player wants to play for more than just a paycheck. Some mercenaries that will play for the highest bidder is fine, but you still need a decent ratio of the guys that are invested in what's happening for more than just money. I think that's part of what happened with the Red Sox the past two years. Too many high-priced mercenaries and not enough home grown talent. I'm hoping Wilson can regain his all-pro/pro bowl form and be a serious contributor in the secondary.
