The Celtics are 14-5 since Rondo went down, but one of those 5 losses were against the lowly Bobcats. It was a 3 point loss and it was at Charlotte (just like this game). The Celtics sometime have a bad habit of playing down to their competition. In DP's post earlier Pierce kind of referenced that, and it's the truth. You just have no idea what team is going to show up. Actually, that's not entirely true. For the most part I think you can say the Celtics are going to play strong defense, you just have no idea if the offense is going to show up or not.
Even without the offense (if that's the case) the Celtics really have no excuse to lose to this team. The Celtics are in great position to move up in the standings (currently 7, could move up to 5th with a win), so there is just no reason for a "down game".
I think Jeff Green has a great game tonight. He has averaged 14.3 points in the last 19 games after scoring just 9.6 his first 43 games. We have said it all season that he is the key, well that and nothing bad happening to KG and Pierce.
Celtics win 94-86
Tommy Award: Jeff Green
Game starts at 7pm
