Diamondbacks Give Aaron Hill $35 Million

Aaron Hill has reached an agreement on a three-year, $35 million contract extension with the Arizona Diamondbacks, according to league sources.

Hill is an interesting guy. He was really good for Toronto, then kind of fell apart in 2011, then he went to Arizona and has turned himself into a really good player. He is still only 31 years old, which is funny because it feels like he has been around forever. He is coming off a season in which he hit .302 with 26 HRs 85 RBIs. Last week, Arizona agreed to a four-year, $40 million deal with third baseman Martin Prado.
